About
One engineer, held to a defense standard.

Background
With JBeck Cyber, my goal is to provide actionable cybersecurity to all, regardless of size, budget, or industry. I offer help with regulatory compliance, vulnerability identification and patching, policy review and creation, and implementation of best practices to help you defend your company from bad actors.
Weapons systems get attacked by professionals, so the standard for defending them is unforgiving: everything is documented, and nothing is trusted until it is verified. My day job is exactly that. I work as a Cyber Systems Engineer on United States Air Force weapons systems, and I bring the same standard, sized honestly, to businesses that will never need a Pentagon budget. The frameworks I work in daily (NIST RMF, 800-53, 800-171) are the same ones your compliance requirements descend from.
I am the sole owner and operator of JBeck Cyber LLC. Any consulting goes through me personally and I perform the work myself. Behind the work sit a master's degree in Cybersecurity Management and five certifications, including the CISSP-ISSEP.
Client privacy and confidentiality are the backbone of every engagement. Work starts under NDA, stays inside a written scope, and I do not retain your data beyond the engagement itself. Everything I find goes into your deliverables: an executive summary, a technical write-up, and a cyber report card. The work here is unclassified and independent.
Mission
Provide actionable cybersecurity to all businesses, regardless of size, budget, or industry, so they can identify, quantify, and reduce their risk in a meaningful way.
Approach
Every engagement runs through me directly. The scope is documented before any work begins, findings come back with specific recommendations, and each assessment opens with a kickoff and closes with a written debrief. Every finding is written down and handed to you, so your compliance record stays on file with you.
